Vintage 14K Gold London Blue Topaz & Diamond Ring

A stunning ring crafted of 14Kyellow gold and set with a natural, mined, marquise cut London blue topazmeasuring 15mm X 7mm, about 3.75 carats in weight. This stone is open set and has a deep, rich, medium blue color with excellent translucence, grading VS in clarity. Set on one side of the topaz are 8 round cut diamonds averaging 2mm in diameter each, about .25 carats in total weight. These diamonds are prong set and very high quality, averaging VS-1 in clarity and F-G in color, or better.

The setting and stones are in excellent condition and the mounting designed in a late Art Deco style. The elegant, hand finished shank tapers from 6mm near the mounting to 2.5mm toward the back and the face of the ring measures 20mm X 18mm and rising 7.5mmabove the finger.

This estate ring weighs 6.25 grams, is a size 6.25. This estate piece dates from circa 1945 and appears to have been very well cared for.
